Gilead was a normal city, situated in Washington on the Canadian border. Rolling hills and hundreds of acres of forests surrounded the city, making it seem almost impervious to any harmful thing. People came from all around to live here, to see the natural beauty and to take in the rich culture. The city was prospering until two years ago... click here for more.
OCTOBER - HEAD ADMIN. RAVENER - CO-ADMIN. ZZYN - CO-ADMIN.
Hey guys, October here!
Guess what? THE SITE IS DONE AND WE CAN START ROLEPLAYING! It's exciting, I know. xD Anyway, get out there and advertise! GOGOGO! -shove-
Outside of GQF. The facility itself is surrounded by a giant wrought iron fence with barbed wire atop it. The grounds are a rather beautiful place, trees dotting the area, silhouetted against the sky. You'll often find people wandering around here, talking to one another, or just enjoying themselves.
So you've finally made it to GQF, huh? All newcomers are required to come to the lobby and register themselves into the database. Not to worry, though. The not-so-friendly receptionist will just ask you to fill out some paperwork, and then you're done. The receptionist will also give you your "room" number.
Off in a corner of GQF is a little area for everyone that... is not mentally well. Some people have simply gone mad because of the sickness. They cannot handle that they are dying.
This high-tech laboratory is where all the scientists of the United States study the Sickness. The doors are always locked and the scientists are always hushed. There ARE ways to get in here if you really want to though...
Where everyone comes to eat. The great thing about the cafeteria is that there is no set time to eat. You may come and go as you please. The not-so-great thing is the food. It's all incredibly healthy and required of everyone to eat at least three times a day.
Let's face it. GQF isn't exactly the most fun place in the world. The Rec Room is the one place that is fun around here. The Rec Room is the main hangout for teens at GQF, because it has everything a bored teenager could want. Tons of computers, high speed internet, big screen televisions and all the game systems you want. Some think that all this stuff is merely a ploy to distract people from the corrupt people that run this place...
The East Wing is a totally different building from GQF. It is located just to the east of the main building and is where all the females of the facility live. The rooms are kind of like dorms, except not as small and a bit nicer.
The North Wing is like the East Wing, except for men. It's located on a whole other side of GQF so no...mischevious things may happen between the male and female population. Or so the government says.
This bar and grill is one of the few things running in Gilead these days. Redd is an old stubborn Irish man who refused to go to GQF when the goverment tried to get him there. The government let him stay under one condition. He had to feed the survivors going to GQF. That he's been doing for a year now. So if you're hungry and on your way to GQF, come here for some good food and a nice beer.
This library was once the best library in the country. It is abandonded now, thousands of books left untouched and still on the shelves. Go up a floor and you will find a lounge with big couches, a fire place, and an old coffee maker. Everything here is dusty and old, the library itself is a ghost of its former self.
The Elmhurst District was once the most popular place in Gilead. This long street had everything from quaint little resteraunts to high end fashion boutiques. Now it is a desolate place, and only about five of those shops are still open. The windows of these once lavishly decorated palces are busted open, some of them looted. It's not a very good idea to stick around here...who knows who you might run into?
The Maraposa Apartment building is the place where refugees come to stay in Gilead. Some people refused to go to GQF, so they live here. Others are on their way to the facility. Your story doesn't matter, though. You will be offered a warm meal, a soft bed, and plenty of support no matter your case.
This ravine is similar to every other ravine in the world...except not. About ten miles outside the city in a thick forest is this steep drop off. Look down and you'll see piles of bodies from all around. The Ravine is where the government burns the bodies of the dead to prevent further infection. Although, it doesn't even seem to be working...
Trying to escape GQF, are you? If you are, trying going through this huge, dense forest. It's extremely hard for the government to find you here. Be careful, though. Bears and wolves are said to lurk around these parts, and the worst part is that if you do get attacked, no one will be around to hear you scream...
You can talk about anything here. Advice, discussion, suggestions for the site, etc. Anything and everything can be put here. Need a break from roleplaying? Make a game here for everyone to join in on the fun.
Oh nonono. Only staffy member are allowed here. It is password protected. So... too bad. XD We can discuss updates for the site and other admin-y type things here.
You can tell us a little about yourself here. It is a good way to get to know everyone. Just do not give out personal information. First names only. No last names. No addresses. Just tell us about yourself. =D
